Town Hall — What to Know Before You Come

It’s an opportunity to learn about the Black Women in Business ACCESS program directly from BBPN and Black Moms NB, ask questions, and find out if the program is the right fit for you.

We recommend RSVPing to info@bbpn.ca so we can plan for space, but walk-ins are welcome wherever possible.

No. These info sessions are free to attend, and the BWIP ACCESS program itself is tuition-free.

Any Black woman in New Brunswick curious about starting, strengthening, or advancing a business or career — no business idea required.

You’re welcome to attend any city’s session, not just the one closest to you. Reach out to info@bbpn.ca if none of the dates work and we’ll follow up directly.

Sessions run 5:30pm–7:30pm, except Bathurst on Saturday, July 18, which runs 12:00pm–2:00pm. Exact venues are being finalized and will be shared as soon as they’re confirmed — RSVP to be notified first.

Heritage & Belonging Seniors ACCESS Program

Built around accessibility, belonging, culture, and wellbeing.

The Black Business & Professional Network (BBPN) is delivering the Heritage and Belonging Seniors ACCESS Program in Saint John this year — for Black seniors, other racialized seniors, and people with disabilities, communities that mainstream programming often overlooks.

Late August / September 2026

Pamper a Senior: A Self Care Day

A day of dance, arts and crafts, knitting, and a hair & culture lounge where a hairdresser styles hair and shares the origin and meaning of cornrows. The day also introduces a brief pilot session on digital literacy, helping seniors recognize and protect themselves from fraud and scam calls.

December 2026

Holiday Program

A festive gathering built around connection during a season that can be isolating for many seniors.

February 2027

Black History Month Storytelling

Black community elders share their history and lived experience, with youth taking part as collaborators in capturing those stories — not simply as an audience.

Funded through a blended model including support from the City of Saint John, the Supporting Black Canadian Communities Initiative, and the Greater Saint John Foundation, with additional community fundraising and partnerships underway to grow each event.
